Cultivating Self-Love and Gratitude in February
Posted: 03 Feb 2025 by MYG

Embrace this opportunity to cultivate self-love and self-care as we move through February.
As we step into February, I am fully aware of the energy of Imbolc, watching the green shoots begin to emerge from the ground, signaling the potential of what lies ahead. January has been an interesting month—a time for reflection, yet also the beginning of new actions from the seeds we planted a year ago. Nature has provided us with the space to be inward, spending time at home, being present, baking, playing, and when the winds calmed, taking the opportunity to splash in muddy puddles. It has been a month of grounding, of nurturing, and of waiting for the first signs of renewal.
So, what is our intention for February?
For me, February has always been one of the most polarising months of the year—full of both celebration and sorrow. It’s a month when we celebrate my younger brother’s birthday at the beginning, followed by the painful memory of his passing at the end. It’s a time of remembering the joy we shared and the profound grief that follows when someone we love is no longer physically with us.
Over the years, I’ve cultivated a different relationship with this month, one that has evolved from sadness to a deep sense of gratitude. I now choose to honor my brother and my beautiful sister-in-law—who also left this world far too soon—not by drowning in grief, but by embracing the lessons they taught me. This month has become a time to focus on self-love and self-care, to reflect on the short yet precious time I had with them, and to offer gratitude for the love we shared.
It’s not that the sadness or grief disappears—it’s simply that I've learned to hold it differently. Instead of allowing it to consume me, I transform that pain into love, remembering my brother and sister-in-law not as losses, but as beings who left an imprint on my heart that continues to teach me.
As we move through February, I encourage you to take this time to cultivate self-love and self-care. When we nurture ourselves, we grow stronger at the roots, and by the time the first days of spring arrive, we find a beautiful inner strength—one that is ready to sow new seeds and move forward with a renewed sense of peace. This deeper relationship with ourselves ripples outward into the world around us.
Now more than ever, it’s evident that the more we love ourselves, the more love we attract. When we embrace self-love, we are, in essence, honoring nature, because we are nature. This creates a ripple of healing that spreads throughout the world.
So, I invite you to find ways to love yourself this month. February is a powerful time to tap into that energy, and as we move through it together, let’s nurture our hearts, our spirits, and our bodies. If you need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here for you, and you don’t have to walk this journey alone.
With love and care,
Claire

I came to see Claire for hypnotherapy to help me with my performance in my game. I know I am good enough but putting it into practice and showing it on the pitch even if other people would react badly was stopping me from playing with freedom.
